If there's one thing I'm passionate about, it's weddings and beautiful flowers! I guess you could say -  I'm a very sentimental person. I also have a special love for all things beachy and tropical!

In 2002, my wedding was held out on a cliff overlooking the ocean. And in 2007, my husband and I renewed our wedding vows on the beach in Maui, Hawaii. The beach is where I feel most alive and happy! (SEE PHOTOS BELOW!)

Today, so many brides are choosing destination weddings and that often involves the beach and pretty tropical flowers.

When I decided to create wedding flowers for brides, I knew I wanted to provide something different than what is offered on the islands. The flowers are pretty, and yet, I found they are often not exactly what brides want.

That was true for me too!

When I was planning our vow renewal in Hawaii, I didn't like what was offered. The colors and flowers just weren't right for me so I created my own bouquet and brought it with me. I included some Plumeria in the bouquet and it was a hit with everyone who saw it!

Fresh Plumeria is abundant in Hawaii, yet is not right for bouquets as it is extremely delicate - it wilts, browns, and has sap.

On the way home from Hawaii, my head was swimming with ideas and the main one was to provide multiple colors of Plumeria to brides.

I find that Plumeria is beautiful alone, or mixed in with a number of different flowers.

My skill as a floral designer is not limited to tropical designs however. My creative ability includes a range of styles, including the very traditional rose bouquet. In fact, the "natural touch" roses available today are simply stunning and I really enjoy using them.

Whatever style a bride decides on, I feel it is such an honor to create something as personal and important as a bride's wedding flowers.

All the best,
Roberta
